AWANA Introductions: Come out and enjoy the first night of the AWANA 2024 - 2025 year!

Complete membership fees for child/children participating in the AWANA program. $20 registration fee ($40 for families), $10 for a book, and $10 for uniform.

Kids wear/make goofy glasses. Large Group Lesson: We’re told to look to Jesus (Hebrews 12:2).

Gather interesting items for a time capsule. Large Group Lesson idea: redeeming the time (Ephesians 5:16).

Be ready to catch some fish. Dress up like a fisherman, a colorful fish, or even bring a stuffed animal fish! Large Group Lesson: Talk about the meaning of following Jesus (Mark 1:16-18).

Have kids bring baby items and donate them to the Care Net Pregnancy Center. Large Group Lesson: giving to those in need (Romans 12:20)

Kids dress as pirates. Large Group Lesson: the Bible doesn’t talk about pirates, but we do have an account of Paul’s shipwreck. (Acts 27-28 and Proverbs 2:3-5). The food drive begins and ends on November 15. This is a classic competition between boys and girls!

Come dressed in as much red as possible! Large Lesson: Ask students how red is prevalent in the bible. Through Jesus’ death, we are forgiven of our sins. (John 1:7)

Be ready for glow sticks and turn down the lights! Large Group Lesson: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16).

Wear the most red, white, and blue that you can! Large Group Lesson: Serving others.

Clubbers get to spend their AWANA points! They earn these points by, attending weekly, participating in the weekly theme nights, and completing book sections! This is the last week to turn in canned goods.

Bring a special rock to the club! You can even paint it at home and bring it in! Large Group Lesson: Psalm 18, 19, etc.

Come dressed in bandages and wear them throughout the night. Large Group Lesson: The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)

Book time first 30 minutes then a movie/dinner.

Parents bring a dish to share to help the clubbers celebrate Jesus’ birthday!

Come dressed in your best Western attire and mustache! Large Group Lesson: We must ask God for guidance. (Psalm 25: 4 - 5).

Clubbers are to come dressed as animals! Re-cap of Noah’s Arc story. It is important to have faith and trust in God. Even when we feel we may look silly (Noah building a big Arc and people made fun of him and he held strong to his faith).

Share your creativity by creating duct tape clothing items (such as a hat or bracelet). Large Group Lesson: “ … a true friend sticks closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24)

Build your best paper airplane and try to get it to fly the furthest! Just like how people created paper airplanes, the Earth also was created by God. (Genesis 1:1)

Large Group Lesson: giving to those in need (Romans 12:20) Pass out coin tubes and explain the importance of AWANA in Haiti.

Clubbers get to spend their AWANA points! They earn these points by, attending weekly, participating in the weekly theme nights, and completing book sections!

Large Lesson: Ask clubbers how God is like a superhero. (John 3:16)

Clubbers come dressed in pajamas, bring a pillow, and blanket and get ready to see “Prince of Egypt”. Pizza is provided, it is recommended that clubbers bring a water bottle. Collect Coin tubes.

Clubbers are to come dressed in their best Camo gear. Large Group Lesson: We may be dressed in Camo, but we should let our light shine. (John 8-12)

Think of your favorite fruit and wear that color! Large Group Lesson: Review the fruits of the spirit. (5: 22 - 23)

Come to the club with an object that makes noise. It could be anything from a pan and a spoon to a real instrument. Large Group Lesson: Explain Psalm 100

Come dressed as mismatched as you can. Large Group Lesson: “… People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7)

Pretend it’s summer and you’re on a tropical island. Large Group Lesson: Imagine a party and you run out of food. (John 2: 1 - 11)

Come dressed in your favorite pajamas and be ready to learn a great lesson! Group Lesson: “Honor They Father and Mother”. (Return Coin Tubes)

Practice for the closing ceremony. All 2nd and 6th graders must have a bible verse prepared to share during this event. (Open “time Capsules”)

Invite grandparents and other family members to see the clubbers receive end-of AWANA year rewards! Clubbers should arrive at 3:30 and the ceremony begins at 4.
